Workforce Development Department: Week in Review
Happy Fall Y'all! We are excited to share several incredible achievements within our schools and community:
Workforce Recognition at CTEC
CTEC has been honored with the prestigious Workforce Development Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Award of Excellence. This recognition reflects the hard work, commitment, and dedication of our students, teachers, and partners in preparing students for a successful future in the workforce.
GBRIA Merit Award at Northeast High School
Northeast High School was also awarded the GBRIA Merit Award for their outstanding contributions to workforce development. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the bright future ahead for these students.
$25,000 Donation from General Associated Contractors
We are thrilled to announce that General Associated Contractors has made a generous donation of $25,000 to support our workforce development programs. This will go a long way in enhancing resources and opportunities for our students to excel in their chosen pathways.
BESE Recognition for STEM Pathway Diploma Seals
Liberty Magnet High School and Woodlawn High School have been recognized by BESE for having the most Gold and Silver STEM Pathway Diploma Seals in the district. This is a tremendous accomplishment, highlighting the dedication of our students to academic excellence and career readiness in STEM fields.
We are immensely proud of the hard work and achievements of our students and staff, as well as the support from our community and industry partners.
As we embrace the arrival of fall, we look forward to continuing this momentum and fostering even greater successes in the coming months.
Warm regards,
-Amber-Renee Boyd, Executive Director of Workforce Development
