Workforce Development Department: Week in Review
Welcome to the week of December 9th! This week is extra special because we’re celebrating Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek)—a global event all about exploring the exciting world of computer science and technology.
Why is this important? Computer science isn’t just about coding or programming (though those are cool, too!). It’s about solving real-world problems, creating amazing things, and shaping the future in fields like gaming, medicine, cybersecurity, space exploration, and more.
This year’s theme focuses on making computer science accessible to everyone, no matter your background or experience. So, whether you’ve never coded before or you’re already a tech whiz, there’s something for you to dive into this week.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Hour of Code Activities: A fun, hands-on way to explore coding and build something cool.
Tech Talks: Learn about how technology is changing the world and how you can be a part of it.
Career Spotlights: Discover the amazing jobs you could have in the tech industry.
Computer science is everywhere, and it’s shaping the future. This is your chance to explore, create, and dream big!
Let’s make it an awesome week, and remember—your potential in tech is limitless!
