EBR Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) is a regional training provider for high school students in high demand, high paying jobs in the Capital Region. CTEC provides rigorous, project-based instruction, Industry Based Credentials (IBC), and dual enrollment opportunities that can be used towards an Associate Degree while in high school.
We are thrilled to announce that CTEC has recently been honored with the prestigious Workforce Development Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Award of Excellence. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to fostering educational excellence, empowering our students, and driving workforce development in our community.
Our success is not just a reflection of our students' hard work and dedication but also the result of the strong partnerships we have forged with local industries and educational institutions. These partnerships have been instrumental in providing our students with real-world experiences, mentorship opportunities, and access to cutting-edge resources that prepare them for the demands of the modern workforce.
In addition to our recent award, we are excited to announce new strategic partnerships with the NeuroMedical Center Clinic. These collaborations will further enhance our programs, allowing us to expand our offerings and provide even more opportunities for our students to excel.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain committed to our mission of delivering top-tier education and workforce development. We are incredibly proud of our students, faculty, and partners who have made these achievements possible.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more exciting news as we continue to innovate and lead in education and workforce development.

Mr. Ben Boudreaux, the CEO from the NeuroMedical Center Clinic visited the Medical Assistant and Pre-LPN classes at CTEC August 23 to discuss career opportunities at the clinic. The TECs (Trainees Earning Credentials) will either be certified nurse assistants in December or certified Medical Assistants in May. They were excited to meet him as a future employer and he was excited to meet them as future employees. In addition to the clinic, there may be immediate opportunities at the Rehabilitation Hospital on the campus.
After explaining the system levels of healthcare and career opportunities, he introduced a current LPN from the clinic who described what a day in the life of a medical professional is like at Neuromedical. Nursing TECs then showed off some of their skills using the advanced patient simulator (SimMan) and had the opportunity to ask questions. TECs were treated to Neuromedical Center Clinic tote bags and a promise to visit the clinic for a first-hand look at the operations.
The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance known as GBRIA recognized CTEC once again with the Craft Workforce Development High School Division EXCELLENCE AWARD.
