EBR Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) is a regional training provider for high school students in high demand, high paying jobs in the Capital Region. CTEC provides rigorous, project-based instruction, Industry Based Credentials (IBC), and dual enrollment opportunities that can be used towards an Associate Degree while in high school.

The Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) provides students with unique opportunities to explore specialized career pathways not available at their home schools. CTEC equips students with the skills and experiences needed for success in high-demand industries and post-secondary education by offering hands-on training, industry-aligned certifications, and innovative learning environments.
CTEC is available to students interested in pathways not offered at home school sites.

As we wrap up another meaningful week at the East Baton Rouge Career and Technical Education Center, I’d like to take a moment to share some highlights and look ahead at the exciting opportunities next week.
Week in Review (May 5 - May 9):
This week, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week, honoring the incredible dedication, passion, and commitment of our CTEC educators. Thanks to our community partners and staff who helped make this week special.
We were also proud to host the Louisiana Aspiring Superintendents Meeting on May 7–8, showcasing the innovation and collaboration that defines our center. Finally, on May 9, we marked an important milestone — the last day for our seniors. We celebrate their hard work and are proud of their accomplishments as they prepare to step into the next chapter of their journey.

Career and Technical Education around the District!
Are you 18 or older and interested in launching a career in Information Technology? Apprenti is offering a paid IT apprenticeship that provides hands-on training, classroom instruction, and a direct pathway into high-demand tech roles. No prior tech experience is needed—just a passion for learning and a commitment to success. Participants earn while they learn and gain valuable industry-recognized certifications. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career in tech without the burden of student debt. To apply click HERE
LaHouse Research and Education Center is hosting a summer camp for kids that are 17 years of age and older that are interested in HVAC or Construction. We are offering two industry certifications in the four day camp and I’d love to answer any questions you might have about the camp. We are part of the LSU AgCenter, and our campus is located right across from the LSU Baseball stadium on Gourrier Ave.
We are looking for sponsorship for students that are interested in participating but cannot shoulder the costs. If you have any students interested, please have them reach out to me and I will work to get their attendance sponsored if possible.
We are looking for businesses to participate in our Summer 2025 and Fall/Spring 25/26 Internship "Learn and Earn" Program.
