EBR Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) is a regional training provider for high school students in high demand, high paying jobs in the Capital Region. CTEC provides rigorous, project-based instruction, Industry Based Credentials (IBC), and dual enrollment opportunities that can be used towards an Associate Degree while in high school.

High School Students in Ms Kierra Crawford's EMT program at CTEC (EBR Career and Technical Education Center) were oriented and trained to perform clinical rotations/rides with East Baton Rouge Parish EMS as part of their curriculum.
Besides the HIPAA training and rotation orientation, the session contained a question-and-answer session with Kerri, Terra Eubanks from Bluebonnet, and Dan C. Godbee from EMS.

Catch an exclusive look at Kierra Parker’s first of many interviews for her groundbreaking video production project! As the Creative Coordinator, Kierra is showcasing her skills and passion while leading a project highlights the incredible success of the internship program as a component of her internship at Orange Strategy.
In collaboration with Orange Strategy’s digital marketing team, Kierra is:
• Developing a creative brief and storyboard
• Managing casting and site selection
• Assisting with video editing
In the behind-the-scenes photos, you'll see Kierra interviewing Mike Edwards, Director of Aviation at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. Stay tuned for more updates as Kierra brings this vision to life!
Next week CTEC will kick off recruitment for TECs (Trainees Earning Credentials) to join SkillsUSA. With a $16 membership fee, TECs will receive a $500 scholarship to any LCTCS college, which includes BRCC. TECs may also have the opportunity to compete for an additional $1,000 scholarship!
We would like to thank Ben Boudreaux and the NeuroMedical Center Clinic for donating the membership fee for our nursing and Medical Assistant TECs.
ExxonMobil wants students to SAVE THE DATE if they are interested in applying for their summer internship program. Also, STEM Baton Rouge presents STEM FEST on Saturday from 9-12 at Southern University.
We are looking for businesses to participate in our Summer 2025 and Fall/Spring 25/26 Internship "Learn and Earn" Program.
