Students enrolled in CTEC remain registered at their home high schools but attend CTEC for half a day every other day. This arrangement allows them to benefit from specialized training while maintaining their connection to their home school.
CTEC is designed to provide comprehensive career and technical education that aligns with regional industry needs, promotes equitable access to career pathways, and enhances both student outcomes and local economic development.
Belaire Magnet High School is proud to present a heartfelt Veterans Day Tribute Video, created and produced by students across the JROTC, Band, and Media Arts programs. With many of the featured students serving as active JROTC cadets, the video reflects a powerful, student-driven message of gratitude, service, and respect for our nation’s heroes. This collaborative project highlights the talent, unity, and patriotic spirit of the Belaire student body. In observance of Veterans Day, the entire school will pause during 4th block to participate in a campus-wide viewing, honoring local veterans and celebrating their sacrifices.
We commend the scholars and staff of Belaire Magnet High School for leading with excellence, creativity, and appreciation. Their work reminds us all of the true meaning of service and sacrifice.
On November 7, Northeast High School proudly paid tribute to the courageous veterans and military families of the Chaneyville and Northeast community. The NHS JROTC program held a special Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, hosting local service members and their loved ones for a morning of fellowship and gratitude.
Through their student-led “Dime Fundraiser,” NHS JROTC cadets collected funds with purpose, demonstrating servant leadership by paying it forward to honor those who have served. Their initiative reflects the deep respect and appreciation our scholars hold for our nation’s heroes.
We salute the veterans in our community and applaud the NHS JROTC cadets for their dedication to service, humility, and honoring others. 💙❤️
We extend our sincere appreciation to the JROTC cadres of Northeast High School and Glen Oaks High School for representing their schools with pride at the Red Stick Veterans' Week Youth Kickoff Celebration held at Southern University.
The Northeast High Color Guard delivered an absolutely superior performance, earning high praise from event organizers and attendees. Students from both programs participated in a powerful ceremony featuring outstanding performances by Helix Mentorship Academy’s soloists, marching band, choir, and dancers. Louisiana Supreme Court Justice, the Honorable John Guidry, delivered an inspiring keynote address—one widely regarded as one of the most impactful Veterans' Day speeches in recent years. His message resonated deeply with veterans, families, and students in attendance.
We are proud of our cadets for their discipline, professionalism, and commitment to honoring our nation’s heroes. Be sure to view the attached photos highlighting their participation and excellence.
