The Quizzes tool enables you to create and manage points-measured assessments.
You can use the Question Library to create and manage quiz questions. You can also import questions into the Library from a csv file or IMS QTI compliant course package (ZIP) that many publishers use. A text file (.txt) can be quickly “converted” to a csv file using a Question Generator or Respondus 4.0.
Quizzes can have auto-graded questions (e.g., multiple-choice) and or manually graded questions (e.g., fill-in-the-blank, essay). You can manually grade questions in the quiz using the Grade by Question feature. Managing the grading process (settings) in a large quiz with multiple types of questions can be complex, so if you don’t mind two columns in your Gradebook, create two quizzes for larger quizzes: one for auto-graded questions and one for manually graded questions.
Use the Quiz Preview option to test the accuracy of content and grading before you release a quiz. In a preview, you can answer the questions, view allowed hints, submit the quiz, auto-grade answers, read feedback, and view report results.
On the navbar, go to Activities > Quizzes
Manage Quizzes is the landing page. Here, you can add a quiz or click on a quiz to edit it.
For virtual learners, increase academic integrity in multiple choice and short answer exams by editing quiz settings, such as restricting time allowed, question randomization, or showing only one question at a time.
Question Library is a repository of questions. We recommend creating your questions in the Question Library and then adding them to the quiz. Some quiz types can ONLY be created and edited in the Question Library.
Statistics allows you to analyze quiz results.
Lockdown Browser allows you to control aspects of the user’s interface for high-stakes exams.
