Offer guidance to address instructional challenges or implement new pedagogies.
Facilitate connections among faculty for sharing strategies, resources, and experiences.
Host workshops on evidence-based teaching methods, classroom management, and technology integration.
Help faculty find, evaluate, and adapt high-quality, cost-effective teaching materials.
Assist in the creation of syllabi, outcomes, and assessments.
Provide feedback on lesson plans, lectures, and learning activities to improve practice.
Guide faculty on techniques to enhance student engagement and learning.
Provide 10- 20-minute spark shops on new ideas and techniques.

Matt is proud to serve as the Director of the CTL here at St. Scholastica. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Bethel University, completed graduate work in education (with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction) at Colorado Christian University, and received his Doctorate in Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Matt came to CSS after spending eight years as a classroom teacher in Minneapolis and two years as an Assistant Professor of Education at UW-Superior. He is starting his sixth year at CSS.
