About Us

The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA) promotes instructional excellence to enhance student learning and retention. To achieve this, we promote research-based best teaching practices, support the scholarship of teaching and learning, assist programs in developing and mapping their curricula, promote policies that nurture excellence in teaching, and offer professional development that supports excellence in teaching.

The CTLA team is dedicated to serving as collaborative partners to design relevant learning experiences, innovative instruction, inclusive course design practices, and meaningful assessment of student learning.
