Micro-lectures are 5- 6-minute recorded lectures that focus on a key concept or skill. They can introduce topics before students meet in class, help students explore complicated topics in-depth, or demonstrate critical procedures.
A study of 6.9 million video-watching sessions found that shorter videos (less than 6 minutes) were more engaging.

Determine your presentation style
Don’t try to be perfect; just be you
Maintain an upbeat, energetic tone
Do not try to teach too much material in too short a time
Segment lessons (in advance) into 5- 6-minute videos.
Intersperse a talking head with slides.
Speak fairly fast and with high enthusiasm.
Introduce motion and continuous visual flow into tutorials, along with extemporaneous speaking.
For lectures, focus more on the first-watch experience; for tutorials, add support for rewatching and skimming.
