Saints Institute 2025 - tentative schedule

• Monday, August 25
  Reserved for New Faculty Orientation, no meetings involving faculty should be scheduled.

• Tuesday, August 26 (Please plan to attend in person if possible!)
  Saints Institute kickoff!! The day will be similar to years past:

  • • 8:30 a.m.-noon: President's Address, Value of the year, Introduction of new faculty and staff, Keynote Address, Sisters' Blessing

    • noon-2:00 p.m.: Awards Luncheon

    • 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: Strategic Plan 2025-2030 Rollout

• Wednesday, August 27

  • • Morning--Professional Development sessions

    • Afternoon--New Faulty Orientation, no meetings involving faculty should be scheduled, Community-building activities

• Thursday, August 28

  • • Morning: school meetings, department meetings

    • 1:30-3:00 p.m. Faculty Assembly, Staff Assembly

    • 3:30-5:30 p.m. All College Happy Hour

• Friday, August 29

  • • 9:00-3:00: Faculty Liaison Orientation

    • Open for scheduling

CTL "Sparkshops"

The Center for Teaching and Learning will again be offering "Sparkshops" - brief 15-20 minute “workshops” provided during a program or department gathering. The purpose is to “spark” interest in, or action on, a specific topic of interest, with those topics selected by the division or program. Sparkshops are tailored to those requests and provide development for those who might not otherwise attend a CTL offering (for all sorts of reasons). Basically, this bring the CTL to you! 

What do you need? How can the CTL help? Please email mridenour@css.edu to discuss a sparkshop topic that might be of interest. For example, last year, programs requested sparkshops on AI, Openings and Closings, Quick Assessments, Discussion Techniques and Neurodivergence.
