APRs and CARE Reports are both early alert systems.
An Academic Progress Report (APR) communicates academic concerns. It triggers outreach from support staff; connects students to tutoring, advising, and other resources; and helps them get and stay on track.
A CARE Report communicates concern for the student's well-being and safety. The CARE Team reaches out to support students whose behavior is concerning, threatening, or potentially harmful to self or others.
Academic Progress Report (for faculty only)
Use to report academic concerns or concerns that arise in the realm of academics. APRs are sent to the student, the advisor, athletic coach, International Program Director, and TRIO program (if applicable).
CARE Report
Use to seek help or support for a St. Scholastica community member whose well-being or safety is of concern. This report goes to the Dean of Students and will be reviewed by members of the CARE Team.
