Book Exchange: Our next book exchange will be on Monday, February 2nd, Day 2. Please have your child return their Library book(s) by or on that date. Merci!
Home and School Association Meeting: Sherwood School’s next Home and School Association meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the school’s _____. All parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
Absence: Madame Danielle Duplessis will be replacing me for the afternoons of Wednesday, February 4th and Friday, February 6th. Unfortunately, I will not able to check for email messages or take telephone calls on those dates.
Show and Share: All students are invited to bring a small toy of their choice from home for Show and Share on Friday, February 6th. Kindly assist your child to introduce themselves, identify their toy and describe its colours in French. The following sentence structure may be helpful to them:
Bonjour! Je m’appelle _____. Voici ma/mon _____. C'est _____. Merci!
Valentine's Day Card Exchange: Our class will be exchanging Valentine’s Day cards on Thursday, February 12th. Kindly have your child write a card to each student in our class. Please have them use the class list in their Communication duo tang, in their zippered bag. Kindly have your child bring in their cards by or on Wednesday, February 11th. Joyeuses Saint Valentin!

Here are a few points of information pertaining to the week ahead:
Leader/Assistant: Our first leader of the day will be Max and our first assistant will be Nolan this week.
Theme: Our theme will be Valentine's Day this week. We will also touch on Groundhog Day.
Assessment and Evaluation: I will be working with each student individually to assess their progress in fine motor, early numeracy and early literacy development this week. Our daily routine will be adjusted slightly to accommodate this activity.
Head Lice: Kindly check your child's hair for head lice regularly. Thank you for taking a proactive approach towards reducing the spread at home and at school.
