Reminders
Here are a few points of information pertaining to the week ahead:
Leader/Assistant: Our first leader of the day will be Max and our first assistant will be Nolan this week.
Theme: Our theme will continue to be Apples this week. We will also touch on Thanksgiving.
School Occupational Therapist: Each week, I will be emailing a short write up with a link to a video from Sherwood School's Occupational Therapist, Katherine McKee-Blanche. Kindly read and watch both as they will be very helpful to your child, you and me. The link to the first video is below:
Water Bottle: Kindly remember to send a filled water bottle with your child each day. They are very active throughout the school day and get very thirsty. Merci beaucoup!
Reminder! Rain or Shine Play: Students will be playing outside at recess, rain or shine, except in heavy rain or when temperatures reach a windchill of -20. Kindly ensure your child is dressed appropriately to play in all weather conditions.
Fall Coat: Kindly ensure that your child is dressed warmly for outdoor recesses each day, including a fall coat. Recesses will be much more enjoyable for them if they are prepared for the weather.
Splash Pants/Rain Boots: Kindly have your child wear splash pants and rain boots on days when the ground is wet so that they do not get their clothes and shoes wet or muddy in the school yard. Students go outside for recesses as long as it is not pouring, however, the play equipment may be wet.
Independence: Kindly have your child practice zippering up their coat(s) and tying their shoelaces at home so that they can get dressed for outdoor recesses and afternoon dismissal as independently as possible at school. Merci beaucoup!
Happy Thanksgiving!
