Book Exchange: Our next book exchange will be on Monday, November 24th, Day 2.  Please have your child return their Library book(s) by or on Thursday, November 20th, Day 1.  Merci!

Photograph of Family Member: Kindly email me one photograph of one of your child's immediate family members by Monday, November 24th.  Your child will use the photograph in an integrated Families themed Show and Share on Friday, November 28th.  Merci beaucoup!  

PBIS Respect Assembly: Our class will be attending Sherwood School's PBIS (Positive Behavioural Intervention and Support)Respect Assembly on Tuesday, November 25th at 9:00 a.m.

Sherwood School Dance: Sherwood School's Home and School Association will be hosting a dance on Friday, November 28th from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the school's gymnasium.  Kindly register your family at the following link.  It is sure to be a fun evening!

*At least two students from our class will be going to the 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. time slot and would love for other classmates to join them at that time.*

Field Trip to the Charlottetown Library: Our class will be going to the Charlottetown Library on Thursday, December 4th to explore the joys of the winter season through stories, songs, rhymes, games and crafts.  We will be travelling by school bus, departing from the school at 12:25 p.m. and returning by 2:05 p.m.  Kindly remember to pack your child's water bottle and full change of clothes (in a large Ziploc bag) in their backpack on that date.  It is sure to be a fun afternoon for all!  

Payment for Field Trips: Payment for your child's field trips can be made online at Sherwood HotLunches or by cash until Thursday, December 4th.  If paying by cash, kindly send exact change in an envelope, clearly labelled with your child’s name on it and the purpose of the payment.  The fee for your child to go to the Charlottetown Library will be $2.00.

Sherwood School's Christmas Families Program: Interested person(s), families or groups are able to make a monetary donation to Sherwood School's Christmas Families Program, a program for families from our school community who would benefit from extra support during the holiday season.  Kindly find an envelope in your child's communication duo tang with further information.  Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

Notes:

Here are a few points of information pertaining to the week ahead:

Leader/Assistant: Our first leader of the day will be Thomas D. and our first assistant will be Thomas S. this week.

Theme: Our theme will continue to be Families this week.

Bedtime Routine: With four upcoming 5-day weeks of school before the Holiday Break, your child will benefit from a regular bedtime routine each evening.  Being well rested will help prepare them to fully engage and participate in our busy school day together the next morning.

Illness: Kindly assess your child's overall health each morning, before sending them to school.  If they are sick, please keep them at home to rest and recuperate.  In doing so, you are reducing the spread of illness amongst all members of our classroom community. 

Scholastic Book Club: If you wish to place an order for your child from Scholastic Book Clubs, kindly refer to the French all-ages paper flyer that will be sent home in their zippered bag at the beginning of each month or the digital flyer at the links below.   Note that the digital flyer has an expanded selection.  When you checkout, please enter my Class Code: RC196314.  By using my Class Code, my class will earn 20% of the value of the orders in rewards.  Combined classroom orders over $40.00 will ship to the school for FREE.
