This rugby season has been both rewarding and revealing for our players, coaches, and supporters. One of the key successes has been the structure of our pre-season: each age group benefitted from taking part in two early-season festivals. These fixtures, scheduled before the formal start of the season, were invaluable. They gave players much-needed game time, allowed coaches to assess combinations, and provided the platform for teams to begin gelling both technically and emotionally.

In addition to the Midlands festivals, we were fortunate to collaborate with several local independent and government schools, ensuring that our teams had a robust lead-in with an average of five matches per team before our official fixtures began. This early momentum undoubtedly set a strong foundation for the weeks that followed.

A standout achievement was hosting the U9 Rugby Festival here at Clifton. Welcoming 16 teams onto our campus, we saw the excitement and energy of grassroots rugby at its best. Our U10s showed promise at the Cowan House Festival, the U11s gained valuable match experience at St. Charles, and the Open teams impressed at Howick Prep.

A special highlight was our 1st Team's tour to St. John’s. Competing in four high-level fixtures, the team won three matches convincingly. The fourth game, unfortunately, remained unfinished due to time constraints, but the tour as a whole was a tremendous boost for team spirit and a clear indication of the players' growth and resilience under pressure.

We are also proud of the individual recognition our players have earned.

As a school, we’ve played a total of 51 matches this season, achieving 26 wins, 20 losses, and 5 draws. Beyond the numbers, the season has been marked by courage, commitment, and a deepening love for the game across all age groups.

We remain committed to developing character through rugby where results don’t matter, but the process of learning, striving, and growing matters even more.
