Junior Primary Grandparents' Day - 20 June
Grandparents’ Day is one of the most treasured events on the Clifton calendar – a time to honour and celebrate the unique bond between our children and their grandparents.
Our boys and girls shone on stage, sharing their talents through song, dance, and poetry. The performances honoured all three languages used in our curriculum – English, isiZulu, and Afrikaans – and reflected the joy and creativity of our school community.
The delight on our grandparents’ faces was unmistakable – they laughed, clapped, and celebrated each child’s moment on stage. After the show, families gathered for tea, where scones and chocolate brownies were shared. Classrooms buzzed with pride as grandchildren proudly showed off their work and learning spaces.
As the saying goes, grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love. The warmth and joy of the morning reminded us just how true that is. We look forward to celebrating them again next year.
