🐝 Bees - Termly Reflection 🐝
Buzzing Through the Term
What a joyful and adventure-filled term it has been in the Bee Class! Our little ones have grown in confidence, independence, and curiosity as they explored, played, created, and connected with one another.
One of the absolute highlights of the term has been our weekly Horse Sense sessions at the Clifton Riding School. This unique and treasured part of the Clifton Pre-School curriculum is a privilege, something not offered at most schools, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to include it in our weekly learning.
Each Wednesday, the walk down to the stables was filled with happy chatter and excited anticipation. The children learnt how to stay safe around horses, groomed with brushes and a hoof pick, and of course, enjoyed the thrill of riding the ponies. They especially loved the day they had to search for a lost pony named Magic, who had gone missing from his usual stable. What an adventure!
The Mini Horse Jumping Show was another unforgettable moment, with the Bees proudly stepping over jumps in the arena while Sanka, Rebekah, and the groomsmen cheered them on. The children also had fun making delicious horse treats using coconut, carrots, apples, flour, and honey, and learnt to name the different parts of a horse’s body.
Back in the classroom, the Bees have been their cheerful, curious, and determined little selves, always on the move and eager to explore. They have grown in confidence, formed special friendships, and delighted in learning their numbers up to four. Every day brings new discoveries through play, song, and hands-on experiences. A sweet milestone this term was celebrating the very first Little Bee birthday, a joyful reminder that they are slowly but surely growing into Big Bees. This group brings energy, laughter, and a spark of mischief to everything they do, always quick with a clever comment or a cheeky grin. Their increasing independence and sense of belonging have been wonderful to see as they continue to blossom together.
