KZN Inter-Districts Rugby Festival - 22 - 25 May

Midlands Rugby Representation and Provincial Selections

Four of our boys were selected to represent the Midlands rugby teams at the recent trials, a commendable achievement that reflects their hard work and commitment to the sport. One of our boys earned a place in the U12A team (Jack Fyvie), another in the U13A team (Luthando Xulu), and two were selected for the U13B team (Joseph Bates and Michael Hacking).

The boys faced a demanding schedule, opening the tournament with four matches against a strong Durban Coastal side on Thursday. This proved to be a true test of character and resilience. Despite the challenge, the players regrouped effectively and showed great improvement on Friday, particularly in their fixtures against Southern KZN, where they delivered impressive performances.

The second game on Friday presented tough opposition and valuable learning opportunities. The boys responded positively, taking those lessons into their subsequent matches, including a strong showing against Pinetown and Districts.

We are especially proud to announce that two of our four representatives have progressed further, having been selected for provincial honours. One has been named in the KZN Sharks U12 squad (Jack Fyvie), and another has been chosen for the U13B Academy Week team (Luthando Xulu).

Congratulations to all the boys on their achievements. Their selection and performance are a testament to the depth of talent in our rugby programme and the strength of Midlands rugby overall.
