Effective teaching and learning involves actual and proper handling of real objects and materials. It is essential for university to acquire a high end laboratory equipment to ensure that learners will grasp concept to be learned. Moreover, virtual reality has proven its worth to various fields and industry as an effective tool for learning. It provide realistic models with which students can interact to acquire real world knowledge and experiences and they can repeat processes without any risk to both user and equipment. This will make students more globally competitive as those laboratories can now be accessed without limitations in infrastructures.
Thus, the Bulacan State University supported project of the Engineering department entitled Virtual Reality for Engineering Laboratory Classes: A Solution to the Problems of Laboratory Setup and Management. This project address the need for an educational institution to have continuing modernization and upgrading of instructional laboratories, facilities and equipment.
Please see the attached proposal:
Other than what has been mentioned, the Bulacan State University is not breaking of from finding mechanism in empowering the youth by providing them holistic high quality education, transforming them into a highly competent, ethical, and service oriented professionals that contribute to the sustainable socio-economic growth and development of the nation. For the mission to be realized, BulSU crafted its long-term development plan named as BulSU Master Development Roadmap with Ambisyon 2040, UN SDG 2030, and the Philippine Development Plan. It aims to transform BulSU to be a Research University by 2025, an Entrepreneurial University by 2030, and then a Sustainable University.
Consequently, project proposals that allow students perform industry- based and laboratory activities thru simulation room and computing software are already in line.
