The University is wholeheartedly committed to provide quality education to all its students. The same commitment does not waver even in challenging times like now when the pandemic disrupted the operations and processes of the University. With visionary leadership, proactive administration and management, coupled with highly competent faculty and motivated non-academic workforce, the University stayed true to its Vision and Mission statements in order to carry-out effectively its customized Flexible Learning arrangements for the forthcoming semester.
In synergy with the Conceive and Design teams of the University, and taking cues from various educational regulating bodies like CHED Central Office (CHED CMO #4, series 2020 on Flexible Learning https://ched.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/CMO-No.-4-s.-2020-Guidelines-on-the-Implementation-of-Flexible-Learning.pdf, CHED Series of COVID Advisory #1 to #7), CHED Regional Office 3, AACCUP, and other agencies with relevant guidelines like the Department of Justice (DOJ) Cybercrime Guidelines on Online Classes issued September 22, 2020, Department of Health (DOH), the Interagency Task Force (IATF), and other relevant Local Government Units (LGUs), the implementing units of the University from the Executive Vice President, Chanceries to the Department Chairs/Program Heads, the University shall see to it that all bases are covered in terms of its preparations for the forthcoming opening of the Academic Year 2020-2021.
The following are the set of principles the University abides by in view of the Flexible Learning Program:
• Sensitivity to student situations
• Social inclusion
• Success in time of disruptions
• Scalable goals leading to the New Normal
• Adequacy of resources
• Analytical approach
• Alacrity of response
• Anticipatory towards issues that may arise
With these, the University adopts certain guidelines to achieve a unified, whole of the University approach in implementing and operationalizing the University’s Flexible Learning Program, which is adaptable version of Learning Community Plan (LCP).
