The crisis is continuously reshaping the delivery of education and every processes associated with it that includes the revision of the curriculum. One of the goals is to make it relevant, appropriate and responsive to the present time.
The online environment is the call of the time since all the modalities in one way or another shall indulge in online classes to alter the spread of the virus. This means that courses and curriculum must be designed to deliver the same or better quality that the physical face-to-face course can provide. This points to the reality that the practices that worked better in the traditional face-to-face classroom may need to be replaced to counteract the issues and challenges that may occur in its implementation, including the course syllabus.
In this New Normal education set-up, the University with the Office of the Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs under the Unit of Educational Policy Development proposed a modified syllabus format to adapt to the new normal and fulfill the requirement of the AACUP accreditation. The Unit also proposed a pro forma for the development of modules by the faculty. Instructional materials must be modified or redesigned to be effective for the online environment (Design Teach Engage, 2019).
