GUIDE: HOW TO USE CLOCK-OUT CORRECTION FEATURE IN FASTDTR
To maintain accurate timesheets, contractors can utilize the Clock-Out Correction Feature if they miss clocking out during their shift. This feature becomes accessible exactly 24 hours after a missed clock-out and must be completed before clocking in again for a new shift.
STEPS FOR CORRECTION:
Access the "Timesheets That Need Your Attention" Widget
Locate this widget on the upper part of the dashboard.
It lists auto-ended timesheets that ran over 24 hours without a clock-out.
Open the Timesheet
Click the "Open" button to view the specific timesheet needing correction.
Enter the Correct Clock-Out Time
Input the exact time you finished working, ensuring honesty and accuracy.
Choose the Appropriate Clock-Out Option
For set shifts/schedules: Select "I finished working at the end of my shift" or specify the exact time.
For additional hours or unscheduled shifts: Select "I finished working on {date} at {time}" and provide the correct details.
Add a Comment in the End of Shift Summary
Leave a brief note summarizing the end of your shift and if there are any errors or incidents (e.g. power/internet issues) that happened
Finalize the Correction
Click "Proceed" to save updates and complete the process.
TIPS TO PREVENT ERRORS
While missing a clock-out should not become a recurring or redundant issue, you can take the following steps to help prevent it:
Set reminders or alarms on your mobile phone and PC to ensure you clock out on time.
Ensure your web browser settings allow FastDTR to send you clock-out reminders and other important notifications.
Aim for auto-approved timesheets to avoid unnecessary corrections and ensure timely payments. For detailed instructions, please see the Guide on How to Auto-Approve Timesheets

When contractor clocks out of a scheduled or unscheduled timesheet, they will be presented with the following options:

Any timesheet, Additional Hours/Unschedule Shift - "I finished working on {date} at {time}"
