about the barrio

Montjuïc (meaning "Jewish Mountain") is a useful point of reference when it comes to directions. It lies opposite Tibidabo and has become a tourist attraction in itself. Montjuïc experienced lots of growth after the 1929 World Fair and the 1992 Olympic Games, both hosted in this area of the city.

In the Montjuïc area of the city, you can find attractions such as Poble Espanyol, the Magic Fountain, and the Fira Barcelona events hall. It's a very social part of town, with lots of restaurants and bars.
