SOME OF OUR FAVORITE LIBRARIES

Jaume Fuster Library, with 5026 square meters and designed by the architect Josep Llinas Carmona is one of the largest and most modern libraries in the city of Barcelona.

Set up by the philanthropist and free-thinker Rossend Arús, the library opened to the public in 1895 and has become a research center specializing in contemporary social movements and books published in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The library is located on Passeig de Sant Joan, in the house where Arús lived.

The CCCB Archive is a space holding over 10,000 multimedia references on key subjects for culture and contemporary thinking. The vast collection has been gathered via the CCCB's debates, exhibitions, festivals, concerts, and publications over the years.

You can also check out the libraries at the universities. Both the UB and the UPF have famous libraries you can study at! Check out the BSG page on each university for more information.
