ON-SITE MENTOR
Each student is assigned a team and a mentor. Your mentor is always happy to talk to you, about anything! You can talk with your mentor about any concerns you have, homesickness, classes... whatever is on your mind.
Feel free to email your mentor to set up a time to meet or go out for a coffee. Please, note that beyond your assigned mentor, all of our staff would be happy to meet with you!

Psychotherapist Esther Tapiz has worked with students and interns living abroad for a very long time and understands the struggles that come with being away from what is familiar, and has a lot of experience helping students with adjustment problems, anxiety, and depression.

Mindplace has professionals specialized in anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, sexual abuse, and others. They have LGBTQ+ affirming therapists.

Mental Health coverage
Your CISI insurance includes extensive mental health coverage, including coverage for pre-existing mental health conditions. Like most other medical care under your policy, mental health treatment typically operates on a pay-and-reimbursement basis, meaning you'll generally pay for services upfront and then submit a claim to CISI for reimbursement.
The policy states:
Outpatient mental health treatment: Up to $10,000 per covered occurrence.
Inpatient mental health treatment: Up to $25,000 per covered occurrence.
If you have any questions about your coverage or are concerned about the cost of accessing mental health care, please contact us at Health@BarcelonaSAE.com. We're happy to discuss your options so that financial concerns aren't a barrier to getting support.
