Student Attendance in the “At-Home” Learning Model

In preparation for the start of school on August 10, we wanted to share the update about how attendance will be taken in the “At-Home” Learning model:

• Attendance will be taken during each scheduled live class by the teacher each day. See attached calendar.

• Students who do not log in to the class period will be marked as absent.

• Parents will be notified of any absence via the auto-dialer.

• After 3 absences in a school week, the school staff will contact families to develop a plan to assist students in attending regularly.

• Student progress will be made available on Powerschool as done in "normal" years. If you do not have Power School access, use the contacts listed above to get that info.

• The Wednesday schedule is still being developed, but your student will need to attend each class live that day (shortened day).

Student Requirements & Expectations

While participating in the "At-Home Learning model", students are required to:

• attend all virtual sessions by period

• check all Google Classrooms on a daily basis for class and assignment information

• submit all assignments in a timely manner
