Senior Summer Rorrer has attended AEA since 4th grade. Rorrer, a Cleveland native, transferred to AEA after issues at her school and will graduate in May 2023.
There are many changes on the horizon for Rorrer. She and her family will move to Parma next month.
“It’s a bigger house, a bigger yard,” Rorrer said.
The next big change will come after graduation. She plans to attend a 4-year college and hopes to be accepted into Ohio State University where she has already applied. She will major in Psychology.
“I want to be a school psychologist or a clinical psychologist,” she said.
Her focus will be working with people 12-17 years old.
Most do not know that she is currently attending Cuyahoga County Community College (Tri-C) while completing her high school requirements at AEA. She will be graduating with two diplomas in May, her high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Science.
She has had the opportunity to participate in the Student Government Board at Tri-C as a Senator.
“I’m there for four hours every week,” she said. “It’s fun; it’s a lot of work, but it pays off. We do a lot of event planning and leadership training.”
Outside of school, she enjoys music, scary movies and video games.
