Kobe Bryant is many people’s idol. He is also known as, “The Black Mamba.”
Kobe Bryant was a professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He spent his whole career with the Lakers. Originally, the Charlotte Hornets drafted Bryant, but they quickly traded him to the Lakers.
Bryant has many motivational speeches that millions enjoyed. For example, he would try to motivate his fans to wake up early and work hard. He demonstrated this slogan by waking up every morning at 4:00 a.m. to start his day with a workout. He wanted to be up and working out before anyone else was even awake.
Bryant wore both the number 8 as well as 24 throughout his career. He is a 5 time NBA champion. Out of those 5 championships, he was the finals MVP twice. Bryant was the 2008 MVP of the whole league.
Kobe was known for his killer instincts and dedication to the game. He was often in the gym practicing before all his teammates, and he stayed after to practice more.
Over his career he racked up 33,643 points.
Some of Bryant’s biggest accomplishments include winning 5 NBA championships, being an 18 time all-star, a 4 time MVP, and was listed as a top 75 NBA player ever.
Sadly, Kobe Bryant died in a tragic helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. Several others were killed, including his daughter Gigi Bryant. He was an idol to many and will forever be remembered as a legend.
Kobe has a famous mantra, called “The Mamba Mentality.” The idea is to focus on the process and trusting the hard work when it matters the most.
