Five Guys is a nationally recognized chain with some restaurants appearing in other countries. 

The first  Five Guys restaurant was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell and their three sons: Jim, Matt and Chad. This family of five is the original “five guys.”

Five Guys is best known for their burgers and fries. However, they also serve grilled cheese, veggie sandwiches, and BLTs.

They are also well known for quality and customer service because of their customer engagement. There are no freezers at five guys; just massive walk-in coolers. This ensures that all the products are fresh and good to serve to customers. They take a lot of pride in that.

Five Guys has many locations now, but it started off as just one location in Arlington Virginia. They now have over 1,700 locations worldwide due to franchising, making 300 locations in under 18 months.

Five Guys only use fresh ground beef for their burgers. They also cook their fries only in peanut oil. That is different from most major restaurants.

It is the Five Guys' quality and reliability that have so many customers coming back for more.
