Allyssa Culp, is a senior at Albert Einstein Academy this year. This will be her sixth year attending AEA.
“I like it, I like the environment it creates for the students, and I like that it allows me to be more involved with my education,” Culp said.
She has experienced both online and in person learning while at AEA. Although Culp prefers in person learning, she thinks there were some advantages to learning at home.
“I prefer in person learning more, however the virtual learning was a lot safer for the time being,” Culp said.
“When I was home, I sat in the same chair all day long. I didnt get the socialization aspect of school.”
Culp is passionate about helping people in any way that she can.
“Just making sure everyone in the community gets the help they need,” Culp said.
She has a part time job at The Little Gym located in Avon, Ohio.
“I like it a lot. I get to play with kids all day, its a very fun, very easy job,” Culp said.
“The little kids brighten my day everyday.”
Allyssa has big plans for when she graduates from high school.
“ I plan on going to college after school. I'm not sure where yet, I'm between two different schools,” Culp said.
Culp would like to become an early childhood special education teacher when she is done in college.
“I have a family friend that has autism and I spent a lot of time with him as a kid,” Culp said.
“As I got older, I started tutoring him with reading, and it was just something that I am really passionate about and I love little kids.”
