With fall quickly approaching, Albert Einstein Academy High School Student Council has many
events planned for all students within the school.
On October 13th, students at AEA will support and raise awareness for those suffering from breast cancer. October 13th is recognized as Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. All students K-12 can dress in pink to show their support. Students have the opportunity to pay $1 to support the student council and in return will receive a pink ribbon to showcase for the day.
A Halloween door decorating contest has begun. Students will help teachers decorate their door in a Halloween theme. Students will vote on their favorite elementary, middle, and high school hallway door decoration. The winning class will receive glazed donuts to enjoy.
A spirit week will begin on October 31st and will run through November 4th. On Monday of spirit week, students may dress in their school appropriate Halloween costumes for costume day. Students are not permitted to bring weapons or wear any fake blood, face masks, hats or disruptive costumes. Tuesday, students may wear their craziest socks for Crazy Sock Day. Wednesday students can wear their favorite color to school for Rainbow Day. Thursday high school and middle school students can wear graphic t-shirts for graphic tee day. Elementary and middle school students may also dress as a pirate for Pirate Day. Friday students may wear their school appropriate pajamas to school for Pajama Day.
The student council will also host a Trunk or Treat and Boo Bash for the elementary students on Halloween. Students in the upper grades (6-12) may make a donation of candy to pass out to the younger students. The students will begin by traveling all around the school, collecting candy all along the way. They will then proceed outside to the volunteer’s decorated vehicles and collect more candy. Finally, the students will end up in the decorated gymnasium to have a salty treat. In the gymnasium, they will enjoy their treat along with music and decorations.
AEA Student Council will have many more events for students to participate in and enjoy in the future.
