Pokemon club meets on Mondays after school in Mr. Farley’s room for 4th - 12th grade. Mr. Campbell is the one who started the Pokemon club.
Mr. Campbell said that Pokemon has always been his passion.
“Pokemon began around 1996, and for me the hobby of Pokemon has not left,” Campbell said. “I have always been very fascinated by the card game show and even today. It's quite interesting that 20-30 years later this game is still popular and prevalent.”
He thinks it’s kind of cool. He has always been a fan of Pokemon and wanted to try and do something cool at school.
“It’s teamwork, it’s math, it’s all these things that I love,'' he said. ‘I wanted to bring that love to you guys in creating this club.”
Myron Thevenin has been going to Pokemon club since last year. He needed an opponent to battle with the Pokemon cards.
“I ended up joining Pokemon Club because when I was younger I used to collect Pokemon cards… and I didn’t have anyone to do it with,” Myron Thevenin said. “I didn’t actually use them to play like I do now.”
He has been playing Pokemon for six years, and now he has someone to play with him.
“What I like best is the community, the people who are in Pokemon Club and host Pokemon Club,” he said. “Anyone that joins Pokemon Club is a part of the group.”
This is all about the Pokemon club, and it is really fun to go to.
