Our Week in 4K

October 30-November 3, 2023

Monday:

*Our color this week is purple, our shape is rectangle, and the Word of the Week is “more.”  *We read the book Big Pumpkin.  *We identified clothing names on our theme board.

Tuesday:

*Happy Halloween!  *This week in small group we are identifying different types of clothing, categorizing clothing (summer, winter, party, pjs), and are making a class book about the colors of our clothing.  *We read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat.

Thursday:

*Conference night  *We read our Scholastic magazine about what it means to be thankful.  *We talked about why some clothing is special.  Ms. Frosch brought in a sweater and talked about why it is special to her.

Friday:

*We reread the book Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks in preparation for a new bulletin board project.  *We tried to make a tall stack/tower of buttons during large group.  *The morning class went to the Walkathon celebration. *We reviewed The Zones of Regulation and learned about the different feelings that fit into the yellow zone.  When I’m in the yellow zone my body is starting to lose control and I need to tell it to slow down.  Feelings in the yellow zone include: frustrated, silly, worried, and excited.

Next Week:

We will be learning about the color pink and the shape heart.  Wear pink on Monday, November 6th.
