Our Week in 4K

October 16-20, 2023

Monday:

*Our color this week is brown, our shape is a rhombus, and the word of the week is “want.”   *We identified the different types of foods that grow on trees that people and animals eat.  *During our read aloud time we practiced counting up to ten and back down to zero.  Help me count to 10 at home using correct finger isolation.

Tuesday:

*This week in small groups we are learning where letters start when writing them, making a class book about our favorite colors, and sorting.    *We read our Scholastic magazine about apples.  * We made applesauce!  Each student safely peeled, cored, and cut up one apple.  Ask me if I liked the applesauce.  *We identified the parts of an apple (skin, core, flesh, seed/pip, stem).

Thursday:

*Any remaining Walkathon money is due to school A.S.A.P.  *We read the book Ten Apples Up On Top!  Next week we are going to make a class book and put apples on our heads!   *We said and acted out the rhyme “High in the Tree.”  *Go Riteway gave everyone a bus safety coloring book, pencil, and sticker after reviewing bus expectations with a bus driver.
