Our Week in 4K

May 20-24, 2024

Monday:

*Our letter this week is Zz.  *We read the book The Great Fuzz Frenzy.   *We made a list of foods that are shaped like a ball/sphere.  *We are working on end of the year report card testing.

Tuesday:

*In small groups we are playing the games Cariboo and Are You Ready For Kindergarten?  We also counted insects around the classroom.  *We reread The Great Fuzz Frenzy.  Ask me what kind of ball the prairie dogs took fuzz off of.  *We sorted balls by hollow and solid.

Thursday:

*We read the book Can I Play Too? By Mo Willems.  *We estimated how many super balls were in a small jar.  We learned that estimating means making a good guess.   *We were happy to get outside and play in the nice weather.

Friday:

*We read the book A Big Guy Took My Ball by Mo Willems.  *During our social lesson we practiced how to make new friends by: using an introduction, asking their name, responding to the person, and making eye contact.  *We are working hard to write our first and last names without needing a model, using correct letter formation, and remembering to put a finger space between words.

Next Week:

*No school on Monday, May 27th.  *We will be learning about letter Xx.  Our new theme is insects.
