Our Week in 4K

April 15-19, 2024

Monday:

*Our letter this week is Aa, our number is 18, and the Word of the Week is “little.”  *We read Michael Recycle.  *We learned the rhyme “The Litter Patrol.”  Have me to say it for you! 

Tuesday:

  *In small groups we are writing numbers, picking up letter litter, and sorting recyclable items by category.   *We read our Scholastic magazine about Earth Day.  *We made and played instruments out of junk and recyclable products.    

Thursday:

*Poem in my Pocket Day!  Have me read my poem to you.  *We read half of the book The Lorax.   *We painted and assembled an Earth Day project.  *We sang songs with our microphone paper towel tubes. 

Friday:

*During our social lesson we learned about Rock Brain and Super Flex.  Rock Brain thinks things can only be done one way and Super Flex accepts change.    *We finished reading The Lorax.  *Ask me what game we played in Phy. Ed.   

Next Week:

We will be learning about the letter Mm and the number 19.  

Additional Information:

 *No School- April 26th and May 27th  *Creative Expressions Night- May 7th  *End of the Year 4K/EC Party at the Park- June 5th at South Park from 9:30-10:30 A.M.  Attendance is optional but encouraged.  *Last day of school- June 6th
