Our Week in 4K

April 8-12, 2024

Monday:

*Our letter this week is Kk, our number is 17, and the Word of the Week is “big.”  We read Sam Helps Recycle.  It was about a dog who recycles!  Ms. Frosch showed us a picture of her dad and his dogs Daisy and Bogie recycling together.

Tuesday:

*In small group we are identifying recycling numbers on plastic containers, reading a spring book, drawing shapes, and playing a recycling game.   *We located the garbage and recycling dumpsters at school.   *We reread Sam Helps Recycle.  * The afternoon class went outside to see the eclipse.   

Thursday:

*We identified items that are garbage, which to recycle, and why.  *We discussed and practiced what to do during a tornado.  *We read Don’t Lose It- Reuse It!

Friday:

 *Friends talked about what they used to make their recycling projects.  If you haven’t made one there is still time.  They are awesome!  *During our social lesson we reviewed how to show respect to others on the playground.  *We read our Scholastic magazine about rain.  

Next Week:

We will be learning about the letter Aa and the number 18.
