Our Week in 4K

November 6-10, 2023

Monday:

*For second quarter everyone has a new table spot. Ask me what color my new table is and what friends I sit with.  *Our color this week is pink, the shape is a heart, and the word of the week is “out.”  *We read Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

Tuesday:

*This week in small groups we are sewing buttons on plastic canvas, following multi-step directions, and counting different fasteners on our clothing.   *After rereading Goldilocks and the 3 Bears we were able to recall many story details.    *We glued tissue paper on our corn cob and wrote something or someone that we are thankful for on it.

Thursday:

*We read Somebody and the Three Blairs.  Ask me how the story was different and the same as Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.  *Our ending song this week is called “Put on Your Shoes” by Super Simple Songs on YouTube.  We learned most of the sign language for the song.  *We identified the different fasteners/closures that help keep our clothing on (elastic, buttons, snaps, velcro, etc.).

Friday:

*We read Button, Button, Who’s Got the Button?  *During our social lesson we learned about feelings in the red zone (mad, terrified, and out of control).  When we have red zone feelings our body is out of control and we need to tell it to stop.

Next week:

Next week we'll be learning about the color gray and the shape hexagon.  Wear gray on Monday, November 13th.

Additional Information:
