Our Week in 4K

February 5-9, 2024

Monday:

*Our letter this week is Qq, our number is 9, and the Word of the Week is “like.”  *We read What Pet Should I Get? by Dr. Seuss.  *We enjoy learning about everyone’s pet and seeing their pictures on the February family homework.  Don’t forget to send yours in!

Tuesday:

 *In small group we are learning how to draw a dog, writing number 10, and answering story questions.  *We reread What Pet Should I Get?  *We sorted animals into three groups: domesticated, wild, or both.  

Thursday:

  *We read the book Take Your Pet to School Day and we decided it would not be a good idea if we all brought our pets to school.  *We sorted pictures of animals by their coverings (fur/hair, feathers, skin, scales).  

Friday:

*We reread Take Your Pet to School Day.  *During our social lesson we learned about shape breathing and calm down cards.  *We sorted animals by their number of legs (4, 2, or 0).

Next Week:

Send Valentine cards in by Tuesday!  We will be learning about the letter Gg and the number 10.
