Prepare Import File for Manuals

This document shows you how to prepare an import file to add a product manual to a product page.

Step 1: Retrieve and collect all PDF manuals you want to add

First you need to retrieve and collect all PDF manuals you want to add to the platform. Usually you can find the right manuals at the website of the manufacturer itself. Your task is to download the manuals and rename them to the right EAN-code of the product. The syntax for the filename is: [EAN].pdf

When the EAN code of the DAB NOVA 300 M-A is 8059893220585, the name of the manual needs to become 8059893220585.pdf

Whenever you are done collecting your PDF files, you can ZIP them and send this ZIP-file to Alex Timmer (alex@solvermedia.nl).

Ask Alex to upload these PDF's to the manual-repository and to give you a sign as soon as the upload has been done.

Step 2: Prepare import file

Please see the attachment for a reference file you can use to create your import file.

• Column A: sku

  • This column is filled with the EAN codes of the products where you want to enable/upload the manual

• Column B: sp_manual

  • You can fill in "Yes" in these cells, to tell Magento that there is now a manual available for this product

Step 3: Wait for Alex's sign

As long as there is no sign from Alex, you cannot go to the next step. As soon as he tells you the manuals have been uploaded, please proceed to step 4.
