Julia Fitzpatrick '23 is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at University of Missouri-Saint Loius with an expected graduation in 2028.

Taylor Byrd '22 is pursuing a MS in Counseling Psychology at Towson University with an expected graduation in 2025.

Elizabeth Prather '21 is pursuing MS in Counseling Psychology from Frostburg State University with an expected graduation in 2024. In addition to her BS in psychology from SMCM, she holds a AA in criminal justice (2019), and an AA in arts and sciences (2019). She is a resident director at Frostburg State University.

Sarah Muscolino '18  earned a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2023. She completed therapy externships at Shady Grove Hospital and Psychiatric Institute of Washington and a predoctoral internship at Friendship Hospital. In August 2023, she will relocate of NJ to join a private practice.

Sharon Phillips '18 earned a MS in Clinical Psychology at Towson State University in 2021. In 2021, she began the PhD in clinical child psychology program at West Virginia University working in the Parent-Child Interactional Therapy Lab.

Megan (Darby) Feild '17 earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University in 2022. She is a graduate psychologist for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA Puget Sound Health Care System - American Lake Division).

Nadine Postolache '16 is pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College of Columbia University with an expected graduation in 2022.

Katerina (Rina) Dudley '13 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill in 2019. She is completing a post-doctoral internship at Children's National Medical Center.

Katherine (Katie) Grein '12 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame (IN) in 2021. Afterwards she went on to complete a clinical internship with the Salem VA Medical Center, and is scheduled to begin a clinical postdoc position with the Maryland VA healthcare system in September 2021. Before she began her graduate studies, Katie was a research assistant for The Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine).  

Brian Kok '12 earned a MS in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University  in 2017, and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the same institution in 2019 (receiving an award for an outstanding dissertation). He is a trauma psychologist at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Vaughn Bryant '10 earned a MSc in Behavioral and Social Health Science at Brown University in 2013. He earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida in 2018. He is a clinical neuropsychology resident at the University of Florida engaged in clinical rotations focusing on ADHD testing, memory disorders, TBI, and vascular pathology, to earn licensure. He is also a T32 postdoctoral scholar researching interventions to improve cognitive function that target the gut-brain axis. In addition, Vaughn is a clinical neuropsychologist for UF Health Jacksonville.

Taylore Mountain '10 earned a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University in 2012, and a MBA with a concentration in Hospitality Leadership from DePaul University in 2018.  She is a housing operations coordinator at DePaul University, a licensed associate marriage and family therapist at Center for Relational Transformation,  and a relationship and leadership coach at Taylored Living, LLC, in Chicago, IL.

Ellie Gutowski '09 spent 3 years as a community health agent for HIV/AIDS with the Peace Corps and served in the Southeastern African countries of Niger and Malawi. She earned a MA  in Counseling Psychology from Boston College in 2017, and expects to earn her PhD in the same field at Boston College in 2019. She was the  2019 recipient of the Larry J. Siegel Graduate Fellowship for Victimology Studies to support project entitled "Coercive control in the courtroom: Litigation abuse and its correlates".  She is a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School.

Marybeth Heather '08  earned a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2013. Marybeth began pursuing a EdD in Counselor Education and Supervision program at Argosy University in August 2017, and transitioned to earn a PhD in the same field at Lindsey Wilson College in 2019. She earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Lindsey Wilson College in 2021. Previously a supervising therapist (LCPC) for Sheppard Pratt Health System Outpatient Clinic in Howard County (formerly Way Station, Inc.), Marybeth is the professional networking chair for the MD Counseling Association (MCA) and president elect for the Maryland Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (MACES). She is also a reflective practitioner supervisor at The Family Institute of Northwestern University Program for practicum counseling students and a part-time lecturer at University of Southern California. In July 2022, she opened a group practice offering teleheath services, AllowHealth, LLC.

Jessica Hoehn '07 worked as a research assistant for Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2007-2010. She earned a MA in Psychology from UMBC in 2013, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology UMBC in August 2016. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric chronic pain at same institution. She is a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. 

Jessica Leonard '05 earned a MS in Sport Psychology (Exercise and Sports Sciences) from Ithaca College in 2009, and went on to earn a PhD in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. She completed her APA accredited postdoctoral residency at VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta, Maine and her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a licensed psychologist for The Counseling Center of New England in NH.

Christina Salama '05 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2015. She is a pediatric neuropsychology postdoctoral fellow at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Katie Daly '04 earned a MA in Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006, and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from University of Florida in 2011. She is the Director of Counseling & Wellness Services and Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Kristen (Grabill) Benito '03 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of Florida in 2010. She is a staff psychologist at Rhode Island Hospital and Bradley Hospital as well as an associate research professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  She is the principal investigator of a federally funded study testing a practical measure of treatment quality in exposure therapy, and the co-principal investigator on a federally funded study testing methods of training community therapists to deliver exposure therapy. 

Brian Jobe '03 remained at SMCM to work as a research associate collaborating with Dr. Laraine Glidden's Project Parenting for two years following graduation. While pursuing a PhD in Human Services Psychology at UMBC, he worked at the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County as a clinical staff member of the New Behaviors Program for Men. There he supervised the intake assessment and referral process, maintains regular contact with the court and probation departments, conducts group and individual therapy with clients, and manages the day-to-day operations of the program. Also, as part of his job there he got to oversee graduate students at one of their first clinical placements. He completed his PhD in 2014 and is now staff psychologist at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Erin Howard '02  earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University in 2008,  and completed a fellowship in clinical psychology at UC Davis Medical Center in 2009. A licensed psychologist in North Carolina since 2009, she is a clinical psychologist at Duke Raleigh Hospital and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. 

Kelly O'Brien '02 completed a doctoral internship at UNC-Chapel Hill (September 2006-September 2007) and then earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology (child track) from the University of Florida in May 2008. She is a psychologist for Alvord Baker & Associates, LLC, in the Rockville, MD area. She is also a research consultant. Recent projects include helping with the examination of an integrated treatment for mothers of children with ADHD and maternal stress/depression, an early intervention for families of young children with with behavioral inhibition/anxiety, and the addition of emotion regulation coaching skills standard to Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). 

Lauren Hess '01 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of Louisville in 2012. She is a clinical psychologist for Butler (PA) VA Healthcare.

Kerry (Haffey) Condit '98 earned a PhD in Psychology from Auburn University in 2005. She is a child psychologist for Edward C. Taylor, PhD, PL in FL.

Timothy Herzog '98 earned a MEd in Counseling/Sport Psychology from Boston University in 2001, a MS in Clinical Psychology, from Loyola College in 2007, and an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2011. He is self-employed as a counselor and mental performance coach for Reaching Ahead, LLC. Part of his services also include winter training for high school sailing. Tim is also an adjunct faculty member for Saybrook University, co-teaching PhD courses and continuing education courses in psychophysiology and optimal functioning.  

Deborah Pollack '98 earned a M.A. in Psychology from Duquesne University in 2000, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University in 2006. She is a assistant professor of psychology at Utica College. A qualitative researcher, her work is informed by a feminist-psychodynamic perspective. She is also a clinical assistant professor in the psychiatry department at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a clinical supervisor and instructor in the psychology department at Syracuse University.

Bridgid Cahill '94 earned a PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology at the University of South Carolina in 2002. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester's Counseling Center, she joined the faculty. Brigid's clinical specialty areas include working with survivors of trauma (especially childhood abuse and sexual assault), and with individuals diagnosed with personality disorders. She values group therapy, and enjoys leading groups including interpersonal process groups, trauma groups, and DBT skills groups. She teaches a seminar on professional development and takes pleasure in supervising therapists in training. Additionally, she currently has a small private practice. 

Christopher Sarampote '94 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University in 2000. He is the Chief of the Intervention and Biomarker Development for Child-Onset Disorders Branch of the National Institute of Mental Health.

Jeff Walden '94 earned both a PsyD in Neuropsychology from the Widener University Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology and a MBA in Business / Health Care Administration from the Widener University School of Health and Medical Service Administration in 2001. He is a self-employed clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist.

Jennifer (Freiert) Giambrone '93 earned a MS in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 1996, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the same institution in 2000. She is a behavioral health clinician at MS State Hospital.

Laurie Ryan '86 earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology (APA accredited; Specialty Area: Clinical Neuropsychology - APA Division 40/INS guidelines) from Louisiana State University in 1997. She is currently the program director of Alzheimer's disease clinical trials for National Institute on Aging Division of Neuroscience and chief of the Demintias of Aging Branch for the National Institute on Aging Division of Neuroscience.
