Sonder Van Wert '23 is a literacy paraeducator for Montgomery County Public Schools. He will begin a PhD program in Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University in Fall 2026.
Claire Ruble '22 earned a MS in Gerontology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2024. She is a project coordinator for LeadingAge Virginia.
Kaitlyn (Scott) Harris '20 earned a MS in Gerontology from McDaniel College in 2022. She is an assistant director at Baltimore County Department of Aging.
Elaine (Bucknam) Clarke '15 was data management specialist with the Rhode Island Consortium of Autism Research and Treatment for just over two years post graduation from SMCM. She earned a PhD in Human Development and Psychology from UCLA in 2024, and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.
Brittany Thompson-Massey '12 earned a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University in 2020. While in graduate school, she wrote a blog on socioemotional success for Psychology Today. She is a program evaluator in the research department at Baltimore City Public Schools.
Valerie Freund '09 earned a MA in Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2014. She is pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology at the University of Michigan.
Leo Schlosnagle '06 earned a PhD in lifespan developmental psychology from West Virginia University in 2011. Leo feels that the undergraduates at SMCM who plan to pursue graduate degrees might be especially interested in some of WVU's programs, and suggests such students visit the WVU web site at http://psychology.wvu.edu/. He was an associate professor of psychology at Utah Valley University for many years with research interests including disability, health, aging, judgment and decision making, and program evaluation. He is now is the owner of Salt Lake Rental Properties, LLC.
