School Psychology

Ruby Turner '21 is pursuing a MEd in School Psychology from the College of William & Mary with an expected graduation in 2024. She is a graduate assistant there.

Rita Druffner '18 earned a MA in Human Services Psychology (Applied Behavior Analysis) from University of Maryland Baltimore and BCBA certification in 2021. She is pursuing a PhD in School Psychology at Mississippi State University.  Her research interests include the assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders and post-secondary transition planning for individuals with disabilities. 

Anna Matullo-Miller '18 earned a MS in School Psychology at Towson University in 2023. She has earned CAS and NCSP certifications.

Eliza Appleton '17 is a clinical research assistant in the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Inpatient Collaborative at Brown University.  In August 2021, she began pursuing a PhD in Educational Psychology/School Psychology at University of Connecticut.

Caroline (Davy) Brunger '15 earned a MA in School Psychology from Towson University in 2017, and a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in School Psychology from Towson in 2019.  She is a school psychologist for St. Mary's County Public Schools.

Caroline Robertson '15 earned a MA in psychology from Towson University 2017 and CAS School Psychology from Towson University in 2019. She is a school psychologist for St. Mary's County Public Schools. 

Kathryn (Katie) Phipps '13 earned a MEd from Lehigh University in 2015, and an EdS in School Psychology from the same institution in 2017. She is a school psychologist for Harford County Public Schools in MD.

Erin (Cammarata) Sanchez '11 earned a MA in Psychology from Towson University in 2013, and then a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology from the same institution in 2015. She is a certified school psychologist for Baltimore County Public Schools and a swim instructor for the Meadowbrook Aquatic & Fitness Center.

Amanda Bramble '10 earned a MA in School Psychology and a C.A.S. (Certificate of Advanced Study) in School Psychology from Towson University in 2014.  She is a school psychologist for Queen Anne's County Public Schools. 

Michele Hughes '09 earned a MA/CAS in School Psychology from Towson University in 2013. She is a nationally certified school psychologist at Bardonia Elementary School in NY.

Emily (Smithson) Moore '09 earned a MEd in School Psychology from James Madison University in 2010, and a EdS in that field from the same institution in 2012. She is a school psychologist for Dorchester County Public Schools.

Christopher Hughes '08 spent a year as a professional psychology trainee for the Devereux Foundation in PA following his graduation from SMCM. He completed a EdS in Child, Family and School Psychology at Denver University in 2013, and then a PhD in Child, Family and School Psychology from the same institution in 2018. He is a licensed school psychologist at Douglas County School District in CO. In 2022, Chris passed the EPPP- the national board exam for psychologists, an exiting milestone for his goals of starting a private practice.

Brittney (Zakielarz) Stafford '07 earned a MS in School Psychology from Towson University in 2012. She is a nationally certified school psychologist for Carroll County Public Schools.

Carrie Grisham Friend '05 earned a MA in Psychology for The George Washington University in 2012 and then a PsyD in Psychology from the same institution in 2014. She is an upper school psychologist at St. Alban's School for Boys in Washington, D.C.

Jennifer (Lee) Fornaro '03 earned an EdS at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2017.

Katie (Sutton) Burkhouse '01 earned a PhD in School Psychology from University of Maryland in 2012. She is a school psychologist for Howard County (MD) Public Schools.

Caron Ellzey Inglis '99 earned a MS in School Psychology from Syracuse University in 2007. She is a school psychologist and a Crisis Prevention Institute  (CPI) instructor for Los Alamos (NM) Public Schools. A BCBA, she is also the owner of Los Alamos Behavior Support Services, LLC,  providing behavioral support services to youth, families, and schools in northern New Mexico.

Kimberly Benefield David '98 earned a MA in Clinical Child Psychology (specialty in School Psychology) from California State University, East Bay in 2001.  She is a clinical child psychology licensed school psychologist working as a partner for Creative Living Therapies which provides comprehensive mental health services and psychological assessment. Kim specializes  in working with children with ADHD, Autism, emotional concerns, and social skills delays.  Kim also provides parenting classes and gives presentations on ADHD, bullying and other counseling topics.  Kim has worked for Milpitas Unified School District, Anne Arundel County Public Schools and the Palm Beach County School District-division of charter schools.  She has also worked in private practice in Jupiter, FL.  Kim is a trained 504 coordinator and is able to consult with parents on the best way to address medical issues in both private and public school settings. Kim is a licensed school psychologist in the state of Florida. 

Elise (Schreiber) Maccubbin '95 earned a MS in Developmental Psychology from University of New Orleans in 1999, and a MA in School Psychology from George Mason University in 2003. Elise is a school psychologist in VA. 

Leslie (Simms) Holston '94 earned a MS in Clinical Psychology from Howard University in 1997. She is a school psychologist for Prince George's County Public Schools.
