Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology

Drew Sonnenberg '22 is pursuing a MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Towson University part-time with an expected graduation in 2025. After graduation  from SMCM, he worked there for a year as a lab manager supported by Dr. Freedman's National Science Foundation grant and as a department assistant for the Department of Psychology. He is currently a junior lecturer for The Johns Hopkins University’s Psychological and Brain Sciences Department and a graduate assistant for the Human Resource Development program at Towson.

Aubrey Bacon earned a MS in industrial organizational psychology from University of Maryland in 2023, and became a certified ScrumMaster (R) in 2024.

Taylor Curp '20 earned a MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Capella University in 2023. She is a human resource generalist at National Real Estate Advisors in Washington, D.C.

Angel Reyes '20 earned a MPS in industrial/organizational psychology at University of Maryland, College Park in 2022. He is a human resources associate at Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board in Washington, D.C.

Nina Haller '17 is pursuing a MPS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a police officer and recruiter at DC Metropolitan Police Department.  She is also an assistant event planner and coordinator at DMV Weddings and Events  in the Washington, D.C. area. 

Emily Rost '16 earned a MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Virginia Tech in 2020, a MA in Data Analytics and Applied Statistics from the same institution in 2021, and then a PhD in Industrial Organization from there in 2022.  She is a research scientist at Human Resources Research Organization in VA, and teaches as an adjunct instructor for the psychology department at SMCM.

Sasha Goluskin' 15 earned a MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2015. She is an organizational knowledge specialist at McKinsey & Company.

Caryn (Thompson) Webster '15 earned a MSP in I/O Psychology from UMBC in 2017. She is a legal personnel and development specialist at WilmerHale in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

Kisslyn Ezim '14 earned a MA in I/O Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology at Washington, D.C.  in 2018. He is a compensation manager at Prince George's Community College in MD.

Taylor Dimas '13 earned a MPS in I/O Psychology from UMBC at Shady Grove in 2016. They are a recruiter at FR Conversions, Inc.

Katherine (Serfling) Forest '12 earned a MPS in I/O Psychology from UMBC in 2015. She is a consultant at Deloitte in the Baltimore, MD area. 

Jared Borns '12 was pursuing a PhD in Organizational Science at University of North Carolina- Charlotte at the time of his death in 2017. The Jared Borns OS Citizenship Award is awarded annually at UNCC in memory of Jared.

Sasha Goluskin '12 earned a MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University in 2015. She is an organizational knowledge specialist at McKinsey & Company in the Greater Boston area.

Jennifer (Garger) Kuhn '04 earned a MS in Applied Psychology with concentration in I/O Psychology from University of Baltimore in 2008. She is a contract officer and specialist for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Rebecca Anderson '02 earned a MS and then a PhD in I/O Psychology at the Institute of Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in 2009 and 2017 respectively. She is a manager in  human capital (organizational transformation) for Deloitte Consulting in the Greater Chicago area.

Michele Ehler '98 earned a MS in I/O Psychology at the University of Wisconsin in 2001. She is an associate director of HR and learning transformation lead for UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company, in Atlanta, GA.  She recently completed a 3-year expatriate assignment living in Brussels, Belgium.
