Nabiha Kasmani '18 was a medical scribe and then a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the emergency department at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital following graduation from SMCM. In 2020, she transitioned to working as a patient care technician at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and earned a MPH from The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.

Serena Zhang '18 earned a MS in Physician Assistant Studies at South University in 2023. She is a certified PA at Gastroenterology Associates of Frederkisburg in VA.

Mary Ann Gill '17 earned a MEd in Applied Child Studies (applied professional track with a pediatric healthcare concentration) from Vanderbilt University in 2020.  She is a certified child life specialist (CCLS) at Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Caitlin Nickens '14 earned a MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 2018.  A 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, she is physician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Stephanie Payton-Peterson '14 earned a MD at the UMD School of Medicine in 2019. She is a resident physician at UMD Medical Center.

Nicole DeAngeli '14 earned a PhD in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Dartmouth College in 2020.  She is now pursuing a MD at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Kelsey Wirtz Udoff '14 is a surgical assistant at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Associates in New Orleans. She is also a soccer goalie trainer, designing and running soccer camps for high school age players and younger as well as offering private training.

Adrienne Dink '13 earned a MS in Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018. She is a registered dietitian for Healthier Tomorrows.

Heather Palacorolla '13 earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Studies from the UMD School of Pharmacy in 2021. She is a a pharmacist at Walgreens.

Stephanie (Riffle) Bouwer '13 was a medical scribe with ScribeAmerica for three of her four years at SMCM and for a year after graduation.  She earned an DO at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2020. She is a family medicine resident physician at Penn State College of Medicine.

Alyssa (Gallant Ames) Peters '12 earned a MA in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2017. She is a health & wellness coach at Calibrate and owner/health coach at Living Well with Alyssa.

Justin Bowers '12 completed the paramedic program at Arizona Academy of Emergency Services. He is a zero gravity high angle rescue specialist at U.S. Space Force.

Julie Bernstein '11 is a scribe at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Makeyda (Hilliard) Mikael '11 earned a MA in Dietetics/Diatician from University of Oklamhoma Health Sciences Center in 2016. She is a bariatric dietician at INTEGRIS Health in OK. Aditionally, Makeyda is the founder and CEO of Makeda Mikael Work bags and a #AMEX100 for 100 recipient. 

Dan Kircher '10 earned a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Texas at Austin in 2017. He pioneered optogenetic recording techniques in the lab that allowed for the precise dissection of neural circuits of interest and characterized novel findings of alcohols effect on critical brain reward circuitry and resulted in presentations at the Research Society on Alcoholism conference. He is a postdoctoral fellow at Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Kevin Turek '10 earned a MD from UMD School of Medicine in 2016. He is a psychiatry resident at the University of NC School of Medicine.

Maya Cosentino '09 earned a MD from Universitat Witten/Herdecke (Uni WH) in Germany in 2012. She is child and adolescent psychiatry deputy attending physician at Universitare Psychiatrishe Dienste Bern in Switzerland. She is a Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Affliate at Stanford University, and a postgraduate Global Health Policy student at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) with an expected graduation in 2024. Throughout medical school Maya supported the development of her school’s integrative medicine curriculum and was and continues to be an active advocate of new ways in health care.

Marie (Oben) Derrick '09 earned a MS in Kinesiology (Cognitive Motor Neuroscience) at UMCP in 2011. She finished Physician Assistant School (a joint program between Anne Arundel Community College and UMB) in the summer of 2016. She is a physician assistant in the ER at Union Memorial Hospital.  

Victoria "Tori" (Whitlow) Lyness '09 earned a MD at UMD School of Medicine in 2013. She is a general surgery resident for Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

Jenalee Coster '08 earned a MD from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2012. She is a clinical instructor of thoracic surgery and fellow in lung transplant surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Jackie McGill '07 earned a MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2011. She is currently a family medicine physician for Horizon Family Medicine in NC. 

Alexis (Seneff) Keyworth '06 earned a MSHS in Physician Assistant Studies from The George Washington University in 2010. She is a physician assistant at the University of Colorado Ashutz Medical Campus.

Colleen (Fisher) Tiskerdanos '06 is a Board Certified Genetic Counselor at Medstar Franklin Square.

Joshua Chiapelli '04 earned a MD from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2008, and completed his psychiatry residency at UMD/Shepard Pratt in 2012. He is an assistant professor of psychiatry at UMD School of Medicine. His research interests include schizophrenia, stress pathophysiology, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. 

Chad Marcantonio '03  joined the Peace Corps after graduation and worked as a translator for medical doctors in East Timor, South Asia. Once returning stateside, he earned a certificate of completion from the Georgetown Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program in 2007, and an MD from Georgetown Medical School in 2012. He is an ophthalmology resident at Georgetown University Hospital.

Benjamin Davis '98 earned a MPH in Biostatistics from UCLA in 2001, and a MD from Ross University School of Medicine in 2005. He is physician at a nonprofit hospital in western VA.

Adrienne (Miller) Uphoff '97 earned a MD from VCU School of Medicine in 2017. She is a resident physician at Carilion Clinic of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Robin (Veidt) Manson '95 earned a BSN from The Johns Hopkins University in 1997, and a MD from UMD 2004. She is an oncology fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY.

Amy Marshall  '95 completed coursework to become a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013 and earned a certification in holistic health from Holistic Nutrition Lab in 2014. She is a self-employed certified integrative nutrition health coach in DE.
