Class of 2012

Rachel Beck earned a MS in Speech-Language Pathology at Loyola University of Maryland in 2015. She is a speech language pathologist at Kennedy Krieger High School.

Crystal Barnes is a residential rehabilitation associate at Pathways, Inc.

Christopher Bouslog earned a MS in Drugs, Discovery, and Development from Drexel University in 2020, and is pursuinga PhD in Neuroscience at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He is a training delivery coordinator for the Special Program for Embassy Augmentation and Response (SPEAR) of the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service (DSS). He is also a U.S. Marine -in the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance (L.A.R.) battalion.

Jared Borns was pursuing a PhD in Organizational Science at University of North Carolina- Charlotte at the time of his death in 2017. The Jared Borns OS Citizenship Award is awarded annually at UNCC in memory of Jared.

Justin Bowers completed the paramedic program at Arizona Academy of Emergency Services. He is a zero gravity high angle rescue specialist at U.S. Space Force.

Alison Buxton earned a MAT in Elementary Education from SMCM in 2013. She is a second grade teacher for Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

Ben Carver is a maritime captain for Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Terri Chase is an educational outreach coordinator for AVIAN, LLC.

William Craft is an enrollment specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Anna (Davis) Rees earned a MAT in Elementary Education and teaching at the Teacher's College of Columbia University in 2013. She is fourth grade teacher at San Diego Jewish Academy.

John Dehm is a director of co-curruculars at Christchurch School in Virginia.

Julie Fisher earned a MAT at SMCM in 2013. She was most recently a teacher for the school district of Philadelpia.

Shannon (Fitzpatrick) Burns earned a MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2016. She is a board certified behavior analyst at Acorn Health in MD.

Jackie Fullerton earned a certificate in animal-assisted therapy and animal-assisted activities from Harcum College in 2014, and a MS in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in 2018. She is WOC Associate Director of Occupational and Physical Therapy and an occupational therapist at Oregon State Psychiatric Hospital. Additionally, she serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Oregon State Occupational Therapy Association of Oregon.

Alyssa (Gallant Ames) Peters earned a MA in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2017. She is a weight loss coach at Zealthy.

Jeffrey Gibson earned a MAT from SMCM in 2013. He was a middle school computer science teacher for St. Mary's County Public Schools at the time of his death in fall 2023.

Adrienne (Gordon) Gee earned a MSW with concentration in Gerontology Services from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015. She is a a clinical supervisor and senior clinical social worker at the Institute on Aging, San Francisco, CA.

Sasha Goluskin earned a MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University in 2015. She is an organizational knowledge specialist at McKinsey & Company in the Greater Boston area.

Marie Joachim earned a MA in Human Services with concentration in forensic mental health from Post University in 2017. She is a personal care aid for Always Best Care Senior Services in NC.

Shelby Jones earned a MA in Applied Developmental Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2016. He is the Vroom program director for Parent Possible working in the Denver area. "Parent Possible promotes and supports evidence-based, high-quality programs focused on parents of children aged birth – kindergarten...Vroom translates the science behind the brain’s executive functions into easy, actionable tips and messages that encourage back and forth interaction between parents and their young children."  

Erin Kirby  earned a MBA at the University of Pittsburgh - Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business in 2018. She is a strategic marketing MBA intern at Nevro,  a global medical device company focused on providing innovative products that improve the quality of life of patients suffering from debilitating chronic pain.  

Andrew Klontz is a partner at CP Partners Commercial Real Estate in San Francisco.

Brian Kok earned a MS in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University  in 2017, and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the same institution in 2019 (receiving an award for an outstanding dissertation). He is a trauma psychologist at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Katie Lackler is a farm manager at Metzger Farm and Winery in CA.

Carly (Legg) Wood  earned a MAT from SMCM in 2013. She was a teacher for Anne Arundel Public Schools for six years. She is now a STEAM Academy Team Coordinator at Penn State York. The STEAM Academy is a partnership program between Penn State York and the School District of the City of York.  

Karina Mandell earned a MPA from University of Baltimore in 2017.  A staffing manager at Catalyte in the Washington, D.C. area, she is the CEO/Founder of Green Smart Cities," an initiative to build economically viable, environmentally sound, and socially just cities...through the application of Green Technology and community economic development strategies and partnerships." She is also the CEO/Founder of Sync the City, " a partner relationship management tool focused on helping agencies get organized to achieve synchronicity across their networks."  

Briana Manente earned an MFA in Acting at Catholic University of America in 2015. She has served as an actor for various companies, adjunct professor at Prince George's Community College, program manager for Shakespeare Beyond at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company,  associate artistic director and stange manager/production manager for Shakespeare in the Parks: Prince George's County, and as associate artistic director for the MD-National Capital Park and Planning Commision. She is currently the production manager at The Catholic University of America  and the associate producer at Shakespeare in the Parks: Prince George's County.

Steven Morris earned a MSW from the University of Vermont in 2014. He also received a certificate in maternal and child health for kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a national LEND trainee. He is a social worker at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute.

Brittany (Lena) Nicodemus earned a MA in Counseling Psychology (Expressive Arts) at the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2015.  A LMFT, she is a trauma-informed therapist working with both children and adults in CA using an approach that combines humanistic and feminist psychology. In May 2019, she began pursuing an MA in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University  with the intent to become a BCBA.

Lily Penney earned SIT TESOL certification from EIL Institute in 2014. She earned a MPH from University of California, Berkley in 2017. She is a program specialist for American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Echo (Presgraves) Cahoon earned a MS in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in December 2017. She is an occupational therapist at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Jacqueline Reymann earned a MAT in Elementary Education from Towson University in 2013. She is an elementary teacher for Anne Arundel County Schools.

Kristin (Rolfs) Babendreier earned a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University-San Diego in 2023. She is a children, youth and family clinician at the Community Research Foundation in the greater San Diego area.

Francisco Javier Ruales-Romero earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Promotion and Quality of Life from University of Chile in 2015. He is a programs associate for the U.S. Soccer Foundation in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Emily Saari earned a MSW from UMD School of Social Work in 2016. She is a grant writer for ELEVATE, helping nonprofits advance their work for social justice and community enrichment with strategic grant writing.

Katherine (Serfling) Forest earned a MPS in I/O Psychology from UMBC in 2015. She is a consultant at Deloitte in the Baltimore, MD area. 

Jennifer Stewart earned a MS in Counseling Psychology from Towson University in 2015. She is a behavioral healthcare advocate for Optum.

Taylor Sturm earned a MEd in curriculum and instructional at Arizona State University in 2019. She is a human resources manager at Jai Medical Systems Care Organization, Inc. 

Christiana Tejaro earned a PhD in Chemistry from Temple University in 2017. She is a senior scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb.

Brittany Thompson-Massey earned a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University in 2020. While in graduate school, she  wrote a blog on socioemotional success for Psychology Today.  She is a program evaluator in the research department at Baltimore City Public Schools.

Suzanna Vaughn is pursing a MS in Emerging Economies and Inclusive Development at King's College, London with an expected graduation in 2019.

Maureen Wahl earned a MSW with clinical concentration and children and families specialization from UMD Baltimore School of Social Work in 2016. She is a licensed clinical social worker for CalvertHealth.

Kathryn (West) Baier earned a MS in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. She is an occupational therapist at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital and rehab tech for MedStar Health.

Joshwyn Willett taught for several years as a 6th grade math teacher for Baltimore City Public Schools. He earned a MS in counseling with a concentration in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University School of Education in May 2021, and was named the recipient of the Johns Hopkins School of Education Student Excellence Award in School Counseling for his cohort. He is school counselor at Baltimore City Public Schools.
