15.4. When to use loro

As non-native speakers of Italian, you may never have to use this form of address productively but don’t be surprised if you (and your friends, family, etc.) are greeted with loro in a fancy restaurant, hotel, etc. For example,

Mi diano le loro borse per favore.

Please give me your bags.
