14.4. Pejorative suffixes
The most common pejorative suffix is –accio (it, too, will agree with its target), and its English translation is close to “unpleasant,” or “nasty.”
una giornata > una giornataccia a day > a terrible day
il tempo > il tempaccio the weather > the nasty weather
