4. Expanding to the West
Today you will be exploring the nation's expansion to the west. These two videos will give you some background about the move to the west. We will have some further discussions on Thursday about some of these topics.
As you found out, the west was an expansive area, with millions upon millions of acres to be had. But the truth of the matter is that the country was quickly urbanizing and though many acres of land would be farmed in the west, the majority of people are moving to the cities.
